My Kestrel has an XK10 averager with an audio output and a dial showing +/- 10 ms. The previous time I flew the needle on the dial seemed to show sink all the time (the needle was moving but the zero mark was about minus 4) The digital readout of the averager and the audio seemed to work fine which both work off the accumulator/battery. The radio worked fine too. I recharged the battery and after some minutes yesterday, the problem seemed to cure itself. The only thing that I have done basically is recharge the battery. Can someone explain this please? BTW, where can I get a handbook for the XK10?

This was exactly the same fault I experienced in my Phoebus C, it turned out to be damp inside the casing.

Remove from the glider and let it spend some time in a warm dry place.

I have a Kestrel 19 with an XK10. I think I have a copy of the handbook somewhere. If you haven't found one anywhere else, I can scan mine and send you a copy.
