After reading the interesting comments on the Slingsby Vega, I am reminded of a saying by a fellow club member. He now flies for American Airlines, but used to fly E6's off of the deck of the USS Constellation. He said,

'If it says 'Grumman' on the outside, it had better say 'Martin Baker' on the inside.'

Some pilots have only two friends, Johnny Walker and Martin Baker.
