A shameless plug for a segment appearing on Channel 9 Sydney's show 'Postscards' (http://ninemsn.com.au/postcards/) which is on Saturday afternoon at 5:30pm (just before the National News).
Postcards is an out-and-about show, similar to Getaway, but with a focus on Sydney-centric activities.
The actual footage for the segment was filmed on Friday 10th May at Camden Airport with the Southern Cross Gliding Club. Reporter Francene Scali (also the host of Channel 9's 'Marry Me' series) had 3 flights in a glider with Air Experience Instructor Don Palmer, with a selection of cameras inside the cockpit, on the wingtip (ain't technology wonderful !), on the ground and in the air. BIG thanks go to Curtis Aviation who assisted with a 'chase' plane for some air-to-air shots of the glider on tow.
At this stage, it's anticipated the segment will go to air on Saturday 25th May 2002, though it could be a week either side.
