Hello All

I am looking to change tow vehicles and was considering a Subaru Outback

Sport. I was wondering if anyone had experience with towing a sailplane

trailer (cobra, 15 meter ship) using this car. Thanks in advance.

We have a club member here in Arizona who uses a Subaru Forester to tow an LS-8. If I'm not mistaken, the Outback Sport uses either the same or a very similar platform.

He reports no problems.

Good Friend, Jim Staniforth has an Outback and tows an LS-6 in a Cobra. He reports very good results and no problems.

I towed my ASW-20/Cobra with my Legacy Outback with great results. My previous tow car, a Jeep Grand would start to sway at 55 mph before I put much larger tires on. The Outback would tow at 70 without sway. I didn't test to find out where sway started.
