You might check with the White Sands Soaring Association. They used to have a Thanksgiving outing at Alamogordo New Mexico. That's pretty far south and the weather is reliable. They have great thermal soaring and an impressive ridge.

Every Thanksgiving weekend, 15 to 20 gliders get together at Santa Ynez, California. Each of the last few years, there has been at least one day that was soarable.
