Curious to know if any of you have had this problem:

We have a Schroth 4-point harness installed. This weekend a problem cropped up while buckling up. The lap belt tang (on the right side) inserted into the slot, but did not latch.

It seemed that the latch on the rotary buckle had not returned to its closed position. The tang had inserted all the way, but didn't trip the latch into its locked position.

We disassembled the rotary housing and saw that the lap buckle latch had rotated around its bore to the unlocking position. We were able to get it back to position one, closed everything up, and it worked.

What concerns us is how did it get stuck in the first place? We weren't able to discern that a spring had gone bad, or that an obstruction was causing the problem.

If you've had a similar experience with this type of Schroth rotary
