On a non flying discussion group I frequent these photo's where posted with a request for the story behind the images. All that we know, we think, is that the building shown is 77 Pine Street in New York City. If Map Quest is correct this is just off Wall Street.

Anyone out there know anything about this 'airport'?????

What's that old saw about the runway behind you?

With the amount of overhang on that left wing, it looks like that ladder on the AC unit is in jeopardy, well then again maybe the left wing is.

The 'airport' in Escape from NY was the top of the World Trade Center (Hollywood created north of Los Angeles).
