Has anyone found a good source for LED tail lights?

They seem brighter and supposedly light .2 seconds faster. I would be interested in replacing my trailer lights with these, especially if the amperage was less than 2 standard incandesant bulbs.

LED lights are rapidly replacing incandecents in trucks. Your local Peterbuilt or Freightliner Dealers parts department will have a selection and catalogs as well. I've had them on a semitrailer for two years now and have yet to burn one out. The ones they replaced required constant attention.

Are you getting full voltage to the lighting connector on your trailer? My dim trailer lights turned out to be caused by poor wiring in my motorhome; when this was corrected, the trailer lights were just fine.

Nonetheless, lower amperage but equally bright trailer lights would have also corrected the problem.

I have found the main wiring problems and fixed them, however sending 6.6+ amps over 15m/50ft of 18ga wire is still a cause of resistance.[adding all the tail and running lights]

I was thinking that it would be great if i could drop the amp rating per tail lite bulb from 2.1amps each to LED's that draw .17 amps when the brake lights are on & .02 amps for running lights!

however the price on the tail lights is $57.50 each.
