What are your views and impressions of the L-33 as a cross country ship?

My club has 2 L-33 and they are proving to be popular for early XC flying. We also have a Jantar STD 2 and the L33s are by far more popular.

It is a very comfortable glider to fly. I have flown one XC and landed out, it was easy to land short,de-rig,rig, and the factory trailer was a joy to tow.
