/February 1st, 2002/, under ideal weather conditions, the Graal prototype accomplished its first true flight. The sailplane proved very pleasant to fly, the climbing rate excellent (2,5 m/s) and the pilote-designer slightly under-trained! The engine showed a light tendency to overheat when the landing gear is not retracted, which is logical because the air intake is then masked. It's still to early, of course, to speak about performances. I will still need several flights, only to acquire the whole flight parameters.

Nevertheless, this flight made pass Graal from the project state to the debugging step. So that it ceases being a myth and becomes a reality, and before beginning production, it is now necessary that we know the real customers, beyond curiosity and sympathy whose this glider is the object. We will, before long, renew contact with the prospective customers who already made known themselves. The others are invited to contact us in the forthcoming months, as we will not be able to exist without them.

Hmmmmmm I've just been to the website and I must say it looks very nice! I had been wondering what had become of it! I wish I could speek French and get involved in a project like this. There is no chance of any such thing happening in the UK with regulations as they are. Good luck with the rest of the project. Peter
