Flogging a 1-34 around Southern California

Few may care (well XCnick does) but for all those aluminum enthusiasts out there I declared and flew a 300 km triangle for Gold distance, altitude and duration and DIAMOND goal Wednesday. Elsinore-Big Bear-Borrego Valley-Elsinore. This was done on a blue day in an SGS 1-34. I was slow. I made it.

Gold Distance/Diamond Goal from Elsinore! That's a real accomplishment.

I did my Silver C Distance out of Elsinore in 1962 with a flight to Banning. It took me over four hours for 50K. (I couldn't quit, I had already PAID for the tow.)
