I am frantically seeking first hand experience on the subject of dialysis patients who also fly sailplanes. I have requested information from the SSA, but, so far, have not received a response. I have heard from a couple of pilots that have first hand experience and have not been too encouraged for the type of dialysis I will go through.
I am not looking for medical opinions, as that is why I pay my doctor. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I know a Danish guy who lost his class II medical 10 years ago, since he had to go into dialysis. He has now obtained a medical with the condition that he should always have an safety pilot onboard. The funny thing is that he is an bus driver, and he is allowed to drive an bus with 60+ persons, but is not allowed to fly a single seat glider. In Denmark the class II medical is mandatory for all pilots, except CPL/ATPL that requires a class I medical.
